You have finally decided to register as a sole trader with either normalized or actual expenses, and we are pleased that you have chosen us for this step. Below, you will find the steps and documents required for free registration at our SPOT point.
For the registrationprocessof your sole proprietorship, please bring:
- your identity document;
- your personal tax identification number;

certified consent from the owner of the property where your business address will be located, if you are not the owner (building, apartment, house).
The owner's consent must be certified in advance at an Administrative Unit or by a notary.
Please alsoprepare:
- the name or title of your sole proprietorship;
- a preliminary list of activities, which can be found here
The soleproprietorshipregistration processat our SPOT point:
- we prepare the application for the registration of a sole trader – entry into AJPES;
- we submit tax data for the sole trader – entry into DURS;
- we register you for mandatory social insurance – M1 form;
- we discuss ACCOUNTING (reviewing operations, determining the monthly flat rate, and discussing the preparation of the final report or balance sheet);
- we discuss the FIRST STEPS OF YOUR PROMOTION.
Procedures at theSPOTpoint are carried out through the Chamber for Education and Development of Slovenian and Foreign Entrepreneurs.
After registering thesoleproprietorship:
- with the decision on entry into the AJPES Business Register, you will OPEN A BUSINESS BANK ACCOUNT as a new sole trader;
- we recommend that the entrepreneur attends occupational health and safety training, prepares a risk assessment, and undergoes a medical examination at an occupational medicine clinic.
